It is harder for women to lose weight so I would say she was more successful.

You guys are both doing GREAT! Keep up the good work! Keep in mind that your girlfriend might have a harder time losing weight than you because–she’s a woman. Not to be biased or sexist or anything (seeing that I’m a female myself) But we have to deal with crap like water weight and hormones….So it’s more difficult for us to lose weight…unfortunately…Thumbs up for women! Thumbs up for healthy-ness! :]

You are both doing great! Don’t be so competitive about it - you must both know how difficult it is - so instead of asking who’s doing better give each other loads of support!!

You, because you lost 13 pounds, and she only lost 8 pounds! You lost more weight then her by 5 pounds.
You girlfriend might have more trouble trying to lose weight, more than you do, though.

Unless she’s like 4′2, she was probably already within her proper BMI range.

    So I’m going with you.

Btw, proving you are doing the more difficult dieting will do nothing but **** her off and get you laid less. Good luck with that.

It was probably harder for her because she doesn’t have that much fat to lose–she had to work at it harder–more exercise and fewer calories than you to lose what she did. Congratulations to you and keep up the good work. It’s hard work for anybody to diet with all that good stuff out there tempting you–especially at this time of year.

its both pretty much the same, the bigger you are the more easy to lose weight. so when it gets down to the last few kilos you are trying to shed it gets harder.
you also need to specify height to find a proper answer to figure out the sitch…

If I knew your height, I’d calculate your BMI’s before and after and see who improved the most. And I might also consider whether either of you moved below a BMI of 25, which would be statistically meaningful from a health perspective.

Since I don’t have that, I’ll have to vote for you, since you lost more and a higher percentage of your weight.

Well you lost 13 lbs so far and your gf lost 8 lbs so far… Based on that you doing better BUT I think it depends on who keeps the weight off the longest!!

    Your lost more percentage wise.
208 divided by 195 is ~.9375 meaning you lost 6.25% of your body weight.
With her using the same formula she lost ~5.5% of her body weight.
Percentage wise you lost more weight

Well numbers really mean nothing in weight loss. As muscle weighs more then fat. So actually who is more successful is the one who ends up going down in clothing sizes. And really there is only a difference of 5 pounds between your loss amounts. Neither is more successful over the other. Now if one of you had lost 20 pounds and the other 5, then the 20 pound loss is the sure winner.

Both of you continue doing what you are doing and who cares about who is more successful then the other.
