I know, that no one believes this at first and thinks they can’t do it but I’ve helped many of my overweight friends, as well as my old overweight self lose pounds without hardly changing my diet.
There are two keys that are more important than ANYTHING.
1) Portions (Eat what you like, just less of it!)
- Don’t just assume because something is 50 calories less, than it’s healthier because sometimes that isn’t even true. And one thing I can’t stress enough that everyone does is, do not just eat vegetables and fruit. Everyone I know so far that has wanted to lose weight has stuck to salads, every day, every meal. You need a balanced healthy diet (protein, veggies, fruits, grains, etc) Not just one.
2) The most important part besides what you consume, is how you burn it off. No matter what you eat, healthy or not, if you just sit around and don’t do any type of exercise or activity you won’t lose the weight. Cardio is your best bet(running, swimming, biking), and once you get your body accustomed to it it feels great to be in shape, and have an easy way to burn off pre-existing fat and the calories you just consumed.
It’s hard to start off, but once your body gets used to it you’ll feel amazing, along with your healthier body image.

You should look towards long term diets! The majority of people who lose weight quickly end up gaining more weight in the long run. Also losing a lot of weight quickly isn’t healthy.
Lifestyle based diets are usually the most successful!
It all comes down to what you are prepared to go with. Diets can differ drastically. You should do a good amount of research and find a diet that suits you, but remember to think long term.
