How many calories are in this, and is okay to eat while dieting?

Star B asked:

One of those cinnamon raisin bagels from Shoppers with light butter. How many calories are in one, or maybe just half? And would it be okay to eat these like twice a week while dieting? What about eating a half for breakfast, and the other half for lunch? - with other healthier stuff of course.
My mom just bought the bagels in a clear, plastic bag, so I have no idea what percentage of stuff is in it.

No label with nutrition info, huh? Tough one. Without knowing the size of the bagel, I’ll just guess. Medium/large bagel with light butter…650 cals? or so.

Bagels are very high in calories, butter doesn’t help. Yes, you can eat whatever you want when you are dieting, just keep it in moderation. Half and half and couple days a week sounds very reasonable. Should be fine!
