How can I add more acidic foods to my diet?

I am told that eating an increase in acidic foods will help with my insulin problem. What acidic foods are there? I hear of lemons, tomatoes, soudough bread, saurkraut, but what else? How can I add more acid to my diet?
It was a physician. Acid counteracts starches and helps break them down; therefore, less sugar is absorbed in the system.

ooohhhh u should make fruit smoothies :) i make mine like this:

2cups strawberries (frozen strawberries are cheap and last longer)
    1 cup pine apple
    1/2cup fruit juice
    1 banana
    3/4cup yogurt (optional)
8 or 9 cubes of ice if u dont have frozen strawberries. this also adds a bit more to the smoothie

Who told you this? I have never heard such. Seek the advice of a physician before attempting this.

Hon, salads with vinaigrette dressing is a way of increasing your acids or eat lots of oranges, tangerines and salsa with some chips (just a few though).
