Black Rose Plays Dress-Up asked:

I’m trying to lose weight. I want to know what I should have a home. I live with my parents who by the food. Sometimes it’s not healthy or the get take out(Popeyes, Chinese, Tex Mex). I was wondering what type of things I should have to substitute on those nights. Also, what type of snacks are good to bring with me when I am on the go or even at home.

lots of fruits and veggies. Oatmeal and other non sugar cereals with lowfat milk. wheat bread. chicken, pork and fish are great alternatives to red meat. stay away from too much pasta and starchy foods. a baked potato is fine. stay away from packaged products as much as possible.
a banana in the middle of the day will keep you satisfied also.

    **fruits and veggies, dear.
    and for your desserts,
    instead of grabbing that
    new box of Hershey’s ..
why not try whipping up fresh juices
    to keep you level headed.
oh! my mom’s on a diet right now
and she said drinking tea can help
    you slim down. Use honey
instead of sugar to add a zesty, sweet taste to it.
    Good Luck!

Although the other answers are partially true, you should look into exactly what foods you will like that also are good for dieting purposes. Get a good idea of what you can eat on a regular basis and eat at least 5 meals a day. Constant intake of food help to increase metabolism. For snacks, look into what foods have lower sugar counts, because even though fruits are great, they are all not equal.
