How to keep my stomach from growling while dieting?

April 14th, 2010 | by Diet Advisor |
CollegeMom asked:

Since I detest most veggies, I’m having a bit of a hard time from keeping the rumblies away. I don’t want to take a prescription weight loss pill, but are there OTC pills that will help me feel full? What about adding fiber; does this work, and how would I use it? Any other tips are welcome as well!

Whenever you think your stomach is going to growl, drink a bunch of water. :]

A growling tummy does not mean you are hungry. It’s just your digestive system doing its job.

Most pills aren’t FDA approved so while they say they work they most likely don’t! If you don’t like vegetables you should try other things to snack on during the day like yogurt, cottage cheese, wheat crackers, or even almonds. It’s not easy to stay on a healthy plan but once your body gets used to it, it gets easier. Just don’t rely on the pills because they are pretty useless. All I can tell you is you should seriously consider putting 2 snacks in a day, one before lunch and one before dinner. Keep it up!

Many food items generate gas inside the stomach due to chemical reaction taking place for digestion.Veg. like cabbage, boccolli, lettuse cucumber and also many type of pulses also generate gas inside.Easy thing is to identify the particular food which gives you trouble and avoid them since the reaction varies from person to person. You may try a teblet called BEANO manufactured by GLAXOSMITHKLINE. Use two tablets just before you are likely to take a problem food. I am not a doctor and i would like you to consult your Doctor with the tablet. I have used this with moderate success without of cource consulting my doctor. hope this will help you
