All diets pretty much ****…but try a well balanced diet and count calories. You can only burn so many a day.
Also, drinking LOTS of water can make you lose 5 pounds within a couple of days! Try it.
FYI I know someone who lost over 100 lbs on Atkins. He had no choice but to lose weight, and that one worked for him.
I also know a couple that tried the DR Phil diet..they have been successful going on 2 years now. His diet basically includes a life change.
These are the only 2 DIETS that I have seen actual results with. I believe it is a matter of self discipline and ambition!
Good luck

The best diet I have found, is the vegan diet. All you eat is vegetables, fruits, grains, beans and nuts. I feel the best on this kind of diet. Give it a try, read Dr. Mcdougal’s 12 day plan, eat to live by Dr. Furhman and the china studay by T. colin campbell.
I hope you give it a try.

oh Lord..what diet HAVEN’T I experienced? I tried ‘em all even though I’ve never weighed over 127 lbs. I tried the Atkin’s Diet and it worked okay but my head constantly pounded and I generally felt like sht. Starvation diet..obviously not a good choice but yes it works until you put a grape in your mouth and gain it all back them some. In conclusion..just consume less calories and exercise more. Common sense. Good luck

I used Jenny Craig and had very good success. I think that different people do well with different diets. I have heard a lot of people don’t like Jenny Craig and prefer some of the others. The things that I really liked about this program included: 1. I was accountable weekly to someone other than myself 2. When you reach your 1/2 way point, the plan changes you become responsible for combining their meal plan w/ creating your own. 3. By the end of the diet I was off their preplanned menu and had completely re-wired my thinking about meal planning.
I lost 40 lbs and kept the weight off for 2 years - when I had my daughter. Since that time, if I’ve gained a few pounds here there, I have been able to lose the weight on my own w/out returning to JC. So….this was really good for me, I’d say

I don’t eat any junk/fried foods, rice, bread, pasta, soda, fast food, and don’t eat past 7 P.M. It really works! (Well, for me it does!) I’ve lost about 20 pounds in a little less than 2 months. I also exercise every single day with Turbo Jam’s Ab Jam and walk A LOT! I also eat 5 small meals every 3 hours.
I usually eat portioned amounts of the following like: fruits, veggies, beans (I 3 black, kidney, garbanzo, pinto beans!), crackers, cheese (sometimes string), peanuts, salads, chicken, salmon, shrimp, tuna, white fish, yogurt, oatmeal, raisins, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds (w/o the shells), 100% whole grain cereal, non-fat milk, water, salsa, peanut butter, sugar-free popsicles, other healthy food items.
For instance, at 6:30 A.M., I’ll take 1 Centrum vitamin supplement and eat 5 walnuts/almonds. Then I’ll have a portioned size of oatmel. 3 hours later, I’ll have a fruit salad w/ yogurt and 3 hours after that, I’ll have 2 crackers topped with salsa and cheese along with raisins plus veggies and 3 hours after that I’ll have 1/2 cup of peanuts and 3 hours after that I’ll have 1 sugar-free popsicle.
Basically, I usually eat at: 6:30 A.M., 9:30 A.M., 12:30 A.M., 3:30 P.M., and 6:30 P.M.
I tend to eat between 1200-1500 calories a day.
For working out, the average number of days people do is btween 3-5 times a week, but like I said before, I do it every, single day. I get faster and better results and besides, I feel so great and my spirit is lifted!
I have been tremendously determined and strong and can be too! It was hard in the beginning, but it’s all worth it in the end and you get used to it. Now I never get tempted to eat anything unhealthy!
This diet of mine is no longer a diet, it’s now my lifestyle!
I hope I helped!
